Earlier this year I asked Andrew Skurka for a Q&A on this blog and he kindly agreed. With commitments his end, and commitments my end, we’ve only just managed to get it sorted. The focus is on his 4,679 mile Alaskan Wild North Route but with a few other questions thrown into the pot.

Other News
In other news, having only been back from my El Camino hike a couple of weeks I suddenly realised that a lot of posts I promised for the blog have still yet to appear. Consequently, I have a few weeks left of 2013 where I’m going to be a little busy trying to get them all on. But, get them all on I will.
Interviews with Chris McMaster from ULA, Ron Bell from MLD, Josh ‘Pockets’ Myers shares some photography tips, Rod Java explains the simplicity behind the Stickpic and there may even be room for more.

REVIEWS
I have a 3 shoe review, split into parts starting with a look at a pair of Salewa Wildfires which I used on EL Camino. They’ll be followed up with posts on New Balance 810’s and some Brooks Cascadias.
Time permitting this year, but possibly going into the start of 2014 will be reviews on the ULA Ohm 2 pack, the ZPacks Hexamid Solo tent, Trail Designs Sidewinder stove, the MLD Spirit Quilt and the Rab Cocona wool hybrid material.

There’s talk of a winter hike along the South Downs Way with me old chum Lord Nick ‘The Brit’ de Bairacli Levy (to give him his full title). I may even take a hammock with me and give it a full test in some expected chilly conditions.
Somewhere, I also have to write a book on some hike I did on the Appalachian Trail last year in time for the Spring.
OK, I better get going . . .
